INSTINTO
This project was made in 2022 by Camila Salinas Rivera and Victoria Quian for the subject “Paisaje Material” for the career of Design in the University of San Andrés (Buenos Aires, Argentina). The project consists of a cloak made of biomaterials. It's a feminist manifesto on the social pressure that women all around the world suffer due to the misconception that being a mother is an instinct and an obligation. We want to unite both women who decide not to be a mother and those who do. We are free to decide our future, it is not an instinct, we are not savage animals, we are not simply incubators.

We choose freely what we want.

The cloak is 2 metersx1meter. It weights around 3 kg. It has red food coloring, extracts of vellon (a type of wool) and mud. Its base is made from biomaterial (glycerine, water, and gelatin)
We present the object in an inversive room. It was hung in the center. When spectators entered the exhibition, the following video was presented on loop, projected on the three available walls.
